Editorial, Portrait and Wedding Photography.
I began my adventure in photography at the age of six with a camera purchased with two Wheaties box tops and 25 cents. I've grown as an artist from that first roll film camera, developing the film in my bathroom with supplies bought from a Sears and Roebuck catalog. I soon learned that it is not the camera or the equipment that makes the fine photo, it is the eye and soul of the person behind the camera. The first photo that I had accepted for exhibit by the Professional Photographers of Missouri was shot with a used $25 camera. Through my career I've photographed such celebrities as singer Johnny Mathis, guitarist Carlos Montoya, pianists Ferrante & Teicher plus over a thousand weddings. In all of those I feel that I made images that were unique, creative and important. I still photograph weddings but because I want "a life" I limited that to 6 weddings per year. If you are looking for a wedding photographer I hope that yours might be one of them.
I've been lucky enough to have images published in places as diverse as The Christian Science Monitor to Playboy Magazine.
I am a member of the American Society of Media Photographers, Professional Photographers of America, The Missouri Photographers Association, The National Press Photographers Association, American Photographic Artists, The Greater Kansas City Professional Photographer Association, where I serve on the Board of Directors, and the Kansas City Chapter of American Society of Media Photographers where I serve as Treasurer. With changing technology I became a FAA licensed drone pilot (107) and have added that to my skill set.
Let me discuss your needs and see if I'm a fit for your project, as noted above I will only commit to 6 weddings per year and will be happy to discuss your event. Additionally I provide pro-bono work for not for profit organizations whose goals I feel strongly about. I travel from Kansas City, Missouri and am available for assignment most anywhere.
